Athens, Delphi and Meteora in Five Days
From the classical order of Athens to Delphi’s mountain sanctuary and the monasteries above Meteora’s rock pillars

What this journey covers
Visit the Acropolis and its museum in Athens, travel through Mount Parnassus to Delphi, then continue to the rock-top monasteries of Meteora. Return to Athens the previous evening for a calm airport transfer on the final day.
Day by day
- Day 1
Arrival in Athens | Let the flight set the pace
Airport - Athens
Meet the confirmed flight and transfer to accommodation booked independently by the guest or quoted separately. An earlier arrival may allow a gentle Plaka walk or city viewpoint without forcing the schedule; a late arrival prioritises check-in and rest, preserving energy for the classical programme the following day.

Classical Athens | Acropolis Museum and Plaka
Athens
Visit the Acropolis and the Parthenon in the morning, then continue to the Acropolis Museum for its sculpture, architectural finds and archaeological remains. According to opening hours and interests, add the Ancient Agora, Temple of Olympian Zeus or a Plaka walk; a licensed guide is available only when confirmed in writing.

Sacred Delphi | Follow the Sacred Way to the ancient centre
Athens - Delphi - Arachova - Kalambaka
Leave Athens for the slopes of Mount Parnassus and follow Delphi’s Sacred Way through the sanctuary of Apollo, its civic dedications and the traditions of the oracle. The archaeological museum adds the key finds that once occupied the site. Pause in mountain Arachova before continuing to Kalambaka, leaving the evening free to recover before Meteora.

Meteora | A monastic world above the rocks
Meteora - Athens
Select the monasteries that are open that day and move between immense rock pillars, carved steps and monastic buildings, seeing how landscape and the search for seclusion shaped the site. Return to Athens after the visit. Any direct airport transfer must be planned backwards from the flight, with a realistic road buffer.

Departure | A calm transfer from Athens
Athens - Airport
Transfer from central Athens to the airport at the confirmed flight time. The group has already returned to Athens the previous evening, so no long drive is scheduled today and there is generous margin for any change on the mountain roads.
