- Portugal: Real estate Golden Visa route closed; fund and donation-style routes remain subject to changing rules.
- Spain: Golden Visa route abolished for new applications after the 2025 parliamentary change.
- Malta: Permanent residence route with significant contribution, donation and due-diligence costs.
- Cyprus: Fast-track permanent residence route, but Cyprus is not part of Schengen.
- Turkey: Direct citizenship by investment route, but not an EU or Schengen program.
