Three-Generation Family Migration
Definition
Greek Three-Generation Migration is a unique family scope feature of the Greece Golden Visa — a single investment may simultaneously qualify the principal applicant + spouse + unmarried children under 21 + parents of both the principal applicant and spouse (up to four grandparents), totaling up to nine family members for Greek permanent residence. No parental age limit, no separate investment requirement, no Greek language / education / employment requirements. The broadest family coverage among all EU residency-by-investment programs.
Detailed Definition
Greek Three-Generation Migration is a unique family reunification feature of the Greece Golden Visa (Permanent Residence Permit for Investors). Under Greek Law 5038/2023 and the EU family reunification directive (Council Directive 2003/86/EC), a single Greek Golden Visa investment (in any of the €250k / €400k / €800k tiers) may simultaneously cover the following nine categories of relatives: (1) the principal applicant; (2) the principal applicant's spouse (including same-sex spouses; Greece legalized same-sex marriage in 2015); (3) unmarried children under 21 of the principal applicant + spouse (children aged 21+ enrolled in education may be covered via an economic dependency declaration); (4) the principal applicant's father; (5) the principal applicant's mother; (6) the spouse's father; (7) the spouse's mother. The theoretical maximum coverage is nine persons (principal + spouse + 3 children + 4 grandparents). Legal features of three-generation migration: (A) no age limit for parents (OULANG INTERNATIONAL has successfully obtained approval for parents at age 84); (B) parents do not need to demonstrate independent financial resources (eligible via principal applicant's investment); (C) no Greek language / education / employment requirements; (D) parents only need to provide three core documents: family relationship certificate, health insurance, and criminal record certificate. The Greek Three-Generation Migration is therefore the broadest family-scope program among all EU residency-by-investment / permanent residence programs.
